Development in Sii

Here at Sii we are trying to invest in people an d create conditions for adequate development to all of our employees. Development at Sii is possible within few areas and may be executed through the employment of various methods.

  • Swapping roles between projects – along with the change of the project (either as the result of completion of the project or upon 18 months of work upon the given project, after the passage of which time every engineer may apply for relocation) there exists a possibility for the development of one’s own competences, either those technical (change of technology, getting to know other specifics of work upon the given area etc.) or business oriented (getting to know other industry sector, other types of projects – scales, methodology, method of work etc.), as well as there also exists a possibility to change the location of employment within the chosen direction.
  • Change of employment location – it is possible either along with the change of the project or as the result of obtainment of adequate knowledge and experience allowing for the changing of employees role at Sii. A few potential paths of development may be enumerated within the aforementioned scope:
    • technical path (for instance from the Programmer, or Administrator, Designer, Architect up to the Export within any other area of expertise),
    • managerial path (within the technical area, for instance, within the direction of Project Manager, Team Leader),
    • business path (within the direction of sales management or Pre-Sales area).

Workshops – at Sii we invest in our Employees’ knowledge, since it is the people who constitute the most important and the most valuable asset of Sii! Workshops organised at Sii may be divided onto the following groups:

  • external workshops – organised by external institutions, to which our employees are sent individually and every time the amount of financing by Sii of such workshop is determine with the direct superior of the given employee. The aforementioned type of workshop include both technology based workshops, those which prepare to take a certificate exam, foreign language courses as well as post graduate studies.
  • internal workshops – i.e. closed workshops, organised only for the employees of Sii. Most frequently theses are technical workshops (for instance determining SQL enquiries based upon the Oracle database, Project Management, or Analysis of Requirements with the application of UML and Enterprise Architect), nevertheless there also occur workshops from the area of the so-called soft skills (i.e. the co-operation within the team, interpersonal coaching). Such types of workshops are organized for employees of particular departments and their choice is executed based upon the results of the priori executed survey of workshop needs within the given department.
  • workshops indispensable for the process of the execution of work – this type of workshops are organised with regard the particular project (either by the Client or by Sii).
